The Global Shapers Thimphu Hub is Bhutan's only Global Shapers Hub, founded in April 2020 by Ms. Thinley Choden. It's a voluntary youth network (ages 18-27) with over 40 active members focused on positively impacting their community. They've initiated projects in areas like financial literacy, mental health, climate action, and inclusive development, with a strong emphasis on climate action and youth engagement. Notable achievements include engaging college students in climate literacy, leading co-creation sessions for their circular economy initiative, and organizing youth-driven recovery dialogues. The hub also expanded youth engagement through the Bhutan Climate Futures Lab and has 7 ongoing projects.
