Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN), founded in 2010, is a global coalition of young people and youth organizations that have joined forces to lead, support and accelerate a just and equitable transition to a society that lives in harmony with nature. Since 2012, GYBN is the officially recognized international coordination platform for youth participation to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). GYBN acts as a catalyst, empowering youth to safeguard biodiversity while addressing the pressing challenges of our generation. Our network operates at the international, national and grassroots level, implementing on-the-ground actions, advocating for policy changes, fostering alliances, and generating knowledge products. Currently GYBN has 4 regional and 65+ national (country) chapters spread all over the world.
